Here are some pictures of the Marshall build after making sure that all parts work and fit correctly I like to finish paint the parts as I build the engine up, I machined all the gears as blanks and had the teeth cut by the casting supplier.
This picture shows the stainless steel plate that the regulator block works on I have done this on both my engines I find that it makes a better steam seal and after an engine lay up the block doesn't stick.
The rubber tyres on both my engines are fixed with Evo Stik impact adhesive, using this adhesive you cannot put the tyre on as a ring and lever it onto the adhesive,  the Evo Stik is spread on both surface's and must be perfectly dry to the touch when both surface’s are brought together the bond is instant and powerful.
You have to find the length of the tyre to go round the wheel, cut the splice joint before coating with the adhesive, then work the tyre around the wheel bonding it down as you go, when you get near the splice I treat the splice cut with super glue and press the last bit of tyre onto the adhesive and splice at the same time.
I have not shed a tyre with this method
